Sandro Armanda (b. 1990, Bandung) is an architect and researcher based in Brussels. He earned his bachelor's degree in Architecture from Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (Indonesia) in 2013 and completed his master's degree in Architecture at KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2021.
Sandro is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Architecture at KU Leuven, supervised by Prof Dr Martino Tattara (KU Leuven/TU Darmstadt) and Dr Sabrina Puddu (University of Cambridge/Architectural Association). He is broadly interested in the history and theory of architecture, architectural typologies, territorial studies, and postcolonialism. His doctoral project, A 1000 km long city, examines the enduring legacy of colonial infrastructures in Java, Indonesia, and how they shape the interplay between architecture and territory.
Sandro is a registered architect with the Indonesian Board of Architects (dewanarsitek.id).
